Advanced Training

  • Advanced training in pelvic health & Pilates

Jess graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Concordia University Wisconsin. Her interest in pelvic health began during her clinical training, where she trained alongside experienced pelvic health physical therapists. She began her career in acute care as a postpartum champion, caring for women during pregnancy, labor and delivery, and the early postpartum period. Wanting to support women well beyond a short hospital stay, she moved to outpatient physical therapy, where she has continued to specialize in pelvic health.

Jess is passionate about continuing education and has received pelvic health training through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and Core Exercise Solutions.

Jess is also a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher. She has taught Pilates equipment classes and private sessions since 2019, and she loves blending movement, strength and Pilates principles into rehabilitation to help patients feel confident and strong in their bodies.

She treats women with bladder leaking, constipation, pelvic pain, pain with intimacy, prolapse, and concerns during pregnancy and postpartum. Having navigated her own abdominopelvic health challenges, Jess knows how vulnerable and isolating these concerns can feel. She wants every patient to know that while these symptoms are common, they don't have to simply live with them. Her favorite part of pelvic health PT is teaching patients about their bodies and seeing those "lightbulb moments" when everything clicks.

Outside of the clinic, Jess enjoys traveling, hiking, sand volleyball and pickleball with her husband, Thomas, and spending time with their two cats, Kit and Ruby. She is a big fan of New Girl, tacos, board games and all things fall.
